Equine Initiative
UK's Maine Chance Equine Campus sits on what researchers in the College of Agriculture collectively call "North Farm." The education and research cluster sits on the former site of the Maine Chance Farm while the Health Research Cluster is located primarily on the former Spindletop Farm. The south side of the farm overlaps onto the Coldstream research campus.
Bounded by Newtown Pike on the east, Ironworks Pike to the north and I-75/64 to the south and west, the campus is located in the heart of some of Fayette County's most appealing horse farm landscapes surrounding the Kentucky Horse Park to the north.
